So i started experimenting a little bit with raw ingredients

ok, I changed things around a little bit, I picked up a different carrier oil, which it looks like works better. Anyone want to try this stuff out I think I could send out a few samples, I wouldnt charge anything, just be gentle with your opinions lol.

the frankenwax thread was people melting down premade waxes and mixing them... not the best ideas for the top results.
Explain this a little further. I suspect you have a scientific reason why you wont get great results this way... I'm curious, as I was just about to mix Oro and Pete's 53.

not scientific per se, but a lot of people are under the impression that paste wax creation is just add ingredients into a pot, and start to melt them together.

Waxes like carnauba, and beeswax (propolis) have different melting points than carrier oils, emulsifiers, solvents etc.

So when melting down premade waxes, you run the risk of melting/evaporating some of these much needed oils which aid in buffing, shine, water beading/repellancy etc. You also throw off the proper ratio/mixture %'s. I hope this was helpful, as I'm not a scientist

I think what a lot of people feel what is going to happen is, if they mix two waxes, theyll get 1 wax that has properties of both, or an enhancement. It's my belief the law of averages will settle in, and they will end up with an average wax of both.

By the way guys, SpearsVette = PhantomGoat06.

Jay, i don't know what you are trying to accomplish in this thread.

Honestly, you are not going to get away with this crap.

Now your story is you are not a chemist? wow... seriously...

Who were you fooling with those fake vette pictures?

Some other ingredients that are in Zymol wax's

Banana oil

Montan Oil

Cetyl Esters

Cetyl Cocoamide (derived from coconut oil)

FD&C Blue #1 - I this just blue colour?

They dont have linseed or sunflower oil listed. Neither do they mention Glycerin and

Hydorgen Peroxide.

Theres very little information about the percentages of ingredients.. it must be a trade secret

You are absolutely comical Jay - I mean "SpearsVette"

I'm curious Jay...Someone asked for pics, so you provide pictures of this super wax on your infamous Vette (which in case any of you don't know, Jay doesn't have), yet when you look at the date stamp on the pictures you so proudly show off as showcasing your fine "homemade" wax on said Vette it says "Taken On: 2006:11:19 10:58:18"

Now before you spout your usual BS excuse - remember you proclaimed to have taken this picture to show what your wax can do. And to even further shut down your argument that the date on your camera is incorrect or that you are not good with gadgets or cameras, etc - the dates on the pictures of your wax melting setup (oops - sorry, I mean chemistry lab) says "Taken On: 2008:01:27 20:09:22"

:sign

And let's not forget this biggie...

The camera that took the Vette picture is not the same camera that took the camera that took the "homemade" wax pictures

BUT

The camera that took the wax picture IS the same camera that happens to have taken the famous picture of the FAKE diploma.

:hm

\r\n\r\nWhy don\'t you beat it \"Dr\" Jason Rubin?\r\n\r\nYou are so pathetic... what are you trying to gain?\r\n\r\nLets see, heres your pic of ingredients you sent me last week as your \"proof\" of making the wax you stole from CG50/50\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n\r\nLets look at the EXIF data, the camera matches.\r\n\r\nThe stove and counter top matches.\r\n\r\nThe ingredients match.\r\n\r\nWow... Epic Fail.'
