Congrats on the new rig. Not to carp on old news, but your HD...were those 35" tires? If so, that was probably a huge factor in your mileage. 4.56:1 gears are a must for 35's, and not only help with mileage but also keep the transmission intact. :D
 
I left the gearing alone @ 4.10. I think the 35's reduced it down to 3.66 ?? if memory serves me right.



I did get the PCM tuned by Blackbear Performance. Removing all the Torque management and abuse mode REALLY improved performance and gained 2-3 mpg.
