That Buick is beautiful! I like it a lot. Oh, ScubaStevo, I've never seen that much color in a reflection, what did you use?

Thats not the buick. Its a 2003 F-150 I worked on...the buick looks better than that. :chuckle:

After reading this post I had to add a pic of the damage my PC did to mu truck!

The PC really messed my car up :LOLOL

Here is my PC failure on black paint. I thought I was alone. It's very theraputic to see others in my situation.

After using rotary/#83/polishing pad combo to remove major defects, I proceed with PC/#83/polishing pad combo to remove the light swirls/holograms instilled by the rotary buffer. The PC removed the swirls/holograms, but at the same time it creates micro-marring on the solid black BC/CC paint. I have no such problems with other cars with other colours. Does it mean that my paint is too soft for PC/#83/polishing pad? To indicate how soft it is, I performed a test by using a foam applicator to apply #83 by hand in back and forth motion. I get tiny scratch line in straight lines.

Its quite common to get micro-marring from using #83 with anything. Once using #83 remove all marring created by using a milder polish on a polishing pad, like PowerPolish, #80, SSR2, Menzerna IP or FPII.

I was just going to post a reflection shot showing the damage the pc did to my black car but looking at scotts pic above his car is way more damaged than mine :2thumbs: :chuckle: :chuckle:
