So I Have to Give a Speech on Auto Detailing...

It's either this, car racing/performance, photography, or guitar (which is very cliche at a music business school)

One of the first things they teach you in speech classes is, know your audience. I think you should go with photography. Everybody likes taking pictures these days, and everybody has a camera of some sort. Show them how to get near-DSLR quality pictures from a point-and-shoot. Honestly, if someone got up in class and started telling me how to wash a car, I'd tune out. :2thumbs:

I would suggest something like how spraying some quick detailer on before a date night really improves the look and sure to impress the girl :hifive:

Keep it simple and give some tips on easy and idiot proof ways to improve the way their car looks. A week after your speech who knows every car in your class looks better :2thumbs:

Keep with your detailing speech, it's something you know about and anybody can appreciate a knowledgible speaker with some passion about his topic. Hell, few of us would buy a Sham-Wow, but you gotta loved Vince's delivery! I had a simular class in college, it's fun and will help you down the road. Practice a few times in private then get your family or bribe a beer-buddy or two and practice giving it, the more you do anything the better you get and the more confidence you will have.

well if you think about it there aren't many "informative" speeches that will really please all the people in the class, especially a topic that I already know a lot about.

Senior year in physics I gave a speech about turbo charging vehicles and I went too in detail and after 15 minutes of talking, my teacher says... so can you use these... these turbo chargers to improve economy? (he was very eco-friendly)
