It really depends on the paint hardness and pad used. I will say that I was able to finish out hologram free with M101 and a W8207 polishing pad on a rotary, where a MF pad (both types) hazed the paint.
As aggressive as M101 is, I find that it is able to finish out very well, even on soft paints. It is no PO85RD finish, but for a deep scratch busting compound, it's excellent.

No comparison to 85rd at all, but if you wanted a comparison then I'd compare it to 105...except that it cuts faster and leaves a better finish behind on most paints.

How's the dust/mess factor compared to 105?
