So How do you do IT?

What do you use when you apply products? A creeper? Knee pads? I personally use knee pads, but I am very tempted to get some sort of creeper. I don't know. The knee pads work very well, but I sometimes get very painful cramps later in the evening. Curious to hear from all of you about how you do IT.

In our family's shop, I just scoot around my truck on a little stool with wheels on it. My truck sits at a heighth where everything is easy to get to from that stool. Guess I'm lucky in the way it works out.

Me too. I have a seat on wheels that has a tray on the botton. Got it at sears for like 20-25 bucks. Works great. Perfect height

I also use a creeper seat. It's a 4 wheeled model with a fixed rectangular seat and a wooden tray underneath. I think I purchased it at Eastwood many years ago. It's held up very well.

I use this seat. Paid $25 from Strauss Auto Stores.
A nice unit for the money.

I use one of these as well. As we are on 240volt over here I sit my 240v to 110v transformer on the little tray plug my PC into it, that way I dont keep pulling the pc lead out of the transformer all the time.

Also 20 something years of playing cricket, aussie rules footy and working on cars has worn out my knees, if I kneel I wonder if I am ever going to get up :ticked

Cheers
Dave.

bought my creeper seat from premium auto care. have used it at least once every other day since i got it. it has held me up quite well. without it i would be down for the count.

was talking on another forum about this same subject and stated there that the only complaint that i have was the bolts loosening up often. someone suggested loctite to help keep that from happening again. will be down to the store to get some tomorrow.

as far as sturdy is concerned, mine has held up my 340 pounds quite well. there is a tray for different products and it holds a pc off the ground while i do some buffing. it is kind of a pain when i am on the drive way because i have an incliined driveway. but inside of the garage it is a breeze.

DaveR32, Howdy Mate ! I know what you mean about the knees. That's the only reason I bought mine recently. The spirit is willing but the knees are weak! Too much tennis. SO now I use the chair to do the lower parts of the doors and bumbers.

Regards,
the Doctor

I forgot to mention that I also use a very inexpensive foam garden kneeling pad. It's just a rectangular piece of foam about a foot and a half long and 6 inches wide. I'll use this instead of the creeper seat when I have a quick task (like checking tire pressure), or when I'm on an incline.
