ok, first of all im in the uk so getting the pc would take a while , no warranty, etc etc.

now where im confused is ive never power detailied before and want to buy a polisher, but i keep reading that the makita 9227 is a rotary polisher and can do damage!!! but the pc wont, but i thought the makita 9227 was the uk equivalant of the pc!!!!!

ive found a place to buy the makita over here but i dont wont a rotary, i believe there is a switch to make it do both?????

so confused

HELP PLEASE!!!

i looked it up

its definetely a rotary,

circular high speed polisher.

the pc is an orbital polisher,

very different

the makita is not what you want.

The 9227c is a rotary only machine, there is no switch to make it anything else.

The Makita that's both a DA and a Rotary is the Makita BO6040, and it's also quite a bit more expensive than a regular rotary or a regular DA.

You can find any random orbital polisher and use it like the PC as long as it has a hook and loop velcro backplate. I have the DeWalt DW443, which is an orbital sander and came setup for hook and loop sandpaper disks. It works perfectly with the 6" foam pads sold for the PC.

I'd run to some stores and check out their random orbital sanders.

I have the Makita 9227C and it is a rotary. For a weekend detailer I strongly suggest a RO buffer.
