Sneak Peak: 83 Ferrari 512BBI Black in horrrendous condition

Scioccante!! Good luck with this one, but I'm sure you'll get it back to where it needs to be. At least the customer said the magic words: money is no object. I'll be curious to hear just how many hours are involved.

The first two panels in the pics (not sure what they are) looks too far gone.

Would even a "proper" refinish actually deminish the value of this particular

Ferrari?

The owner was looking at a new paint job finished by an expert but was very costly and did not feel like spending over $10,000 to take away from the original patina look and hurt the value of the car. He is planning on selling the car and wanted to also keep the original paint to keep the high value to certain collectors. A few of my customers had told him about me and said I could make it perfect. When I first seen the car I was very unsure, but lots and lots of patience it all worked out beautiful.
