Snappy Clean in the Washer??

What ya think? Rather than soaking the pads for 15-30mins, why not just throw the snappy clean in the washer, where you would normally put powder?? :hmmm:

I took three PC pads and over the summer cleaned them in the washer only. Three others that I cleaned by hand. What I found is that they break down much faster in the washer than the soak and squeeze method. Just for the record all six where brand new at the top of the season and LC pads:D

Normally I just throw them in the washer, but I got some snappy clean, so was trying it out.

Figured I will just throw in the wash on Hot, with some Tide Free!

Boom! Clean!

I don't disagree with you on how clean they come out, but that comes at a price of premature wear on the pad. For me its no big deal to soak them and then use the pad cleaning brush in the sink to finish them.

I prefer to clean them in the sink I don't put them through the washer at all. However, I do still run into the problem of the backing/velcro coming off from time to time so I don't soak much anymore either.

I got some LC (I assume) PFW pads and the Velcro started coming apart from the pad during the first use. I don't know what I am going to to pad-wise, but I am definitely going to make a conscious effort to steer clear of LC pads from here on out.

I've been throwing my CCS pads in the washer, along with my rotary pads and mf towels in the load and never had a prob with the glue. In fact I throw them in the dryer too..I know I prob shouldn't, but I don't have time to clean each pad every night.

I do the same thing.....in the washer they go. Never had one come apart yet but I do let them air dry.

Some of my LC pads are more than 7 years old and still good but I do not put them in the washer.

I don't like cleaning the scum ring out of the washer .

It is bad enough cleaning it after washing my towels.

I just toss them in a bucket with some snappy clean and forget about them for a couple of days. After that I simply pull them out, rinse them off and lay out to dry.
