Any one know ways to remove odors from cars interior including from ac systems?
Not from personal experience, but...
I have a friend that has a used car lot and runs on to this problem quite often. He uses Frebreze and thinks it does a great job in almost all instances. It can be a little stong when first used, but the scent dissipates pretty quickly.

Your best means to eliminate the odor and not cover it up is to thoroughly vacuum and then steam clean the interior. Clean the leather, dash, door panels and carefully clean the headliner.

After this you need to fog the interior. This is a machine that heats up a liquid and then disperses it like a thick fog which then fills the interior cabin. The "fog" permeates every nook and crannie in the cars materials and kills the odor causing bacteria. It also helps to turn the car on and run the recirculator.

You can rent these fogger machines from many places.

Thank you. Why is it considered safer ? I have heard that ozone is detrimental to rubber...is there anything else?

There is debate on the whole health issue of an Ozone machine, I believe the Canadina Health Ministry has done a full study of the machine and has posted their results.

They can also attack the interior materials, such as leather, stiching, headliners, carpets, electrical wires and gadgets.

This is why I choose a fogger.
