Smartwax products

Did a search on them, most I could find was that it is from Chemical Guys, but not too many reviews yet.

I found out today that Smartwax is easy to get here in NL. Seems a bit pricey, but I'm interested in Smartsealant and Smartwax. Anyone who tried this Smart stuff? I'm a fan of the 1Z products, but I'd like to try out some different waxes :) Packaging of the products sure looks nice, but that's not going to get one a nice looking car right? :D

Im from the Uk, maybe you can contact CARWASHWAX.CO.UK if you want chemical guys stuff? Very good service, and most of the Smartwax gear is very similar to the CG but more expensive. In the UK, but mainly in the USA SmartWax is sort of an OTC brand, you can find it in car dealer showrooms. In the Uk you can but it in a few shops.



I have used the Smartwax line here is what i think:



Shampoo, really nice, cool colour smells good. It leaves the car looking awesome and has pretty decent cleaning power. I rinses freely enough and does have quite good economy. ITs very similar to Extreme Wash n Wax but a different colour.



The blue QD is just like CG's blue QD with Nuba. fairly lubie, i would not use it as a clay lube though, leaves a really nice finish.



Smartwax is a cleaner wax, it cleans and fills. Durability is about 5 weeks, best topped with the Sealant. The sealant is a mix of Polymers and Nuba, i would say it was very similar to CG's Top Coat with Nuba and Poorboys EX sealant with nuba.



The Carpet cleaner is top stuff! The trim Gel is very wet looking, dont use it inside your car its far to fake for my likings, on tyres it looks good.



All in all, nice products that you can buy cheaper from Chemical Guys own brand, the only thing i buy is the soap and QD when it comes up cheap on Ebay. A while ago in the UK you could get a back of 4x2oz samples, i dont know if your national distributer offers these.

Thanks for your reply. We've got the samples available here, not for the sealant though. Think I'll order the QD and the shampoo :) The wax sounds a bit similar to 1Z Wax Polish Soft. Do you have any idea on durability for the sealant?



Hm just did a price comparison with 1Z products and the Smartwax products I think might be somewhat overpriced.

SmartCarwash 473mL €24.50 1Z Raindance Wash and Wax 500mL €6.50

SmartDetail 473mL €24.50 1Z Raindance Lackfinish 500mL €7.25

Now I don't know if that's an honest comparison, but those seem to me similar products. So looking at the price, Smartwax should perform a lot better then? Hm might be time for some samples maybe ;)

1z are very under rated. Durability on the sample of sealant i got was about 7 weeks in the spring a few yrs back. I say durability ended b/c the beading really wasnt very good and the squeek test failed on middle and leading edges of the flat panels.



In all honesty, i bet you could get some Chemical Guys sent to you in 5 days from the UK, in bigger amounts for the same money.
