I had the car for 2 days. On day 1 I polished the car to remove the swirls and applied the touch up paint afterwards. On day 2 I removed the excess touch up paint and applied the goodies. I didn't have the car stored in the garage but it was underneath a canopy. Although our weather hear doesn't quite get as hot as Florida consistently.
I have done a few cars with waiting only 45 min to an hour but the results are far less than satisfactory. Personally I would wait at least a day, I find it's easier that way. If you rush it, it will more than likely look exactly like you rushed it
