Slickest wax?

Yeah, BF is pretty slick. I used it on the S8 before switching to 4* UPP. Give the UPP a try, IMO you'll be surprised at how much slicker it stays after a wash or two. *I* think it's a lot slicker right after application, too, but anyhow, they're two simiar products and I was pleased moving from BF to UPP. I do still like the BF better on black trim though, it's "oilier" nature seems to work better for that.

One high-end wax that did *not* stay slick for me is Souveran. After a while it usually starts to feel a little "tacky" :nixweiss

Does UPP bead as well as blackfire? I love Blackfire beading. Sooo cool.

It's all in the products and preparation. The more steps you do the better I'd say. For quite some time now the trusty falcon of mine has been softer than silk.

Process - fallout remover - water wash - paint cleanse - omikron bodyseal - wait 24hrs - 7 days klasse sg * 3, week laer Omikron or 3M liquid wax, wait till next morning and pacer rocket creme carnuba

Did that several months ago and now all I do is check for fallout again and wash any affected panels and re apply bodyseal after six months. On monday I will be putting the final coat of SG on the car. Don't have to wax but the more protection the better in my opinion

Try the products the other guys have mentioned above - all are great. Make sure you get rid of surface nasties such as fallout. clay bars are excellent but I prefer a fallout removing wash (update from fallout post - I'm switching to autosmart FO remover) It's safe for trim and glass

Good luck, don't rush - take your time and perservere and you'll have one slick machine. Average Joes may laugh at your constant detailing but you'll have the last laugh.

It does for me. I went from BF to UPP on the S8 and water still beads up great on it. The beads roll off pretty well, but it's not "sheeting". Not the same kind of beading you get from Collinite/#16, but good beading for a synthetic, IMO.

Are we talking "wax" or sealant? I'm a Zaino Zealot, but do top with carnuba. In mid-May (love bug season) drove from NC to Orlando and back. Upon return washed the car with Z-7. The bug debris came off with practically no heavy scrubbing. And the car finish was slick and smooth. I think the "slickest" wax/sealant/finish/ etc is Zaino Z-2 with ZFX preceded by the proper surface preparaion. But as has been stated over and over again on these forums, proper preparation is the key to the finish, no matter which of the excellent products mentioned here you choose.

So, you can top Z-2 with a carnuba wax?? I have Moose Carnuba Wax and I am thinking to use it on my Zainoed car.

update, the car was slick for about 4 days, it didn't rain so I washed it and it lost the slickness , I've since applied it again and I like the results, nice shine/wet look. I'll stick with it for a while and try UPP later on.

wg still gets my vote. i had 2 coats on the car and it rained for about 10 days. then washed it. not as slick as first applied but still pretty good. alittle bit of eagle 1 wet wipe and shine and the slickness was back. :xyxthumbs
