To make a long story short...someone hit and killed a skunk last night in front of my house and the smell has now made its was into the interior of my car. Any products or tips I can use to neutralize the odor of the skunk?
I found this product within this forum some years ago and have used it with problem animal smells in vehicle interiors when nothing else worked. I am not sure if this will work with skunks, but you can contact the company and get their recommendations.
Please let us Autopians know how things turn out because living in the Upper Midwest, skunk roadkill and the ensuing odors from inadvertently running over such a dead animal are are real problem that detailers and car enthusist will face at some time.
I ended up giving Ozium a shot and it worked! I only sprayed a small amount of the stuff, but after a few days the car smells like it used to with no other lingering odors. I picked up a can at my local Walmart.
lol how in the world did it get in your car?!?! hahaha I would say anything would work because the skunk spray would probably need to seat inside the car for the smell to stick, I was going to recommend a shot of spray or just riding with the windows down and should aerate
