SIP/106ff

Is this a good combo for hard clear with moderate swirls? I ask becuase I do alot of gm vehicles and the clear seems hard as steel. I use optimum and pinnacle right now but I just love the look of this combo when you guys use it. I am sure the rotary is in love with this combo too?

That is a great combo. An orange LC pad with SIP will take out a lot and finish pretty well.

For really bad stuff SIP with a purple foamed LC pad works well.

Pretty strong and fast. It will leave some micromarring and trails behind. It cleans up with 106 and a white, just make sure you use only a little 106 and work it for long enough.

Do you use that pad with moderate or severe swirls?

The purple foamed? Severe.

SIP on an orange will remove most moderate swirls.

SIP on white will remove a decent amount as well. Depending on the clear.

Menzerna Super Intensive Polish & Menzerna PO106FF. Both part of their cearmiclear polishes...

I recently did my '01 VW with SIP and a 4" LC orange pad. Worked pretty nicely (I worked really slow and applied some pressure though, and the paint got kind of hot...I probably over-did it). I finally got out all the swirls and scratches that two passes with #83 couldn't finish out (with a larger pad though).

However, when I stepped down to a 6.5" LC white pad and 106, I didn't get any noticeable results, even with two passes on the panel. I decided to just let the paint be with just the SIP results (as I was running out time) and I think it's pretty good as-is. It's nice to finally see slight metallic sparkle in my paint.

That's odd. All the GM vehicles that I have done to date (03 Yukon, 05 Escalade, 07 Avalanche) have all been relatively easy to correct with the right pad/polish combo.

Im working on my mustang and the Menzerna SIP on a 6" orange CCS pad seems like its LSP ready if you work it in pretty good. Its kinda hard to buff off but it looks great under a halogen to me atleast.

Hard to buff off? Work the polish properly and all you need is one wipe with a mf-towel to remove it.

And I have to agree, orange CSS pad is superb with Menzerna SRC polishes.
