simple 1step, but a hammered S2000 worth looking at..

Car looks great. Very impressive work.

I must say that I probably would not have dressed those RE-01 R tires. Those are pretty much street legal R compound tires, this guy probably pushes the car pretty hard and dressing on the contact patch, even just the edge, during a hard corner can cause a loss of grip.

BEAUTIFUL.

New Formula Red S2000's are one of the most beautiful cars of all time.... says my HIGHLY biased opinion :D

great work and nice attention to detail - the exhaust tips, wheels, etc all look outstanding!

As for the clear- Honda uses a pigmented clear-coat on this vehicle, hence your pads turning pink. Almost freaked me out first time polishing mine!

oh... and the wheels seem to be more of a gunmetal (maybe just the light?) rather than silver meaning the owner got wheels off a S2000 CR. With the seat design, this is at least an 06+ model year, with 08-09 CR wheels (if they're actually silver then it is either an 08-09 model though).

beautiful pics, and I love how the red looks in the twilight. This also shows me how bad i need to polish my headlights...

That paint was horrible. That paint looks so much better. Great job!

It was soo much worse in person too, it was scary really. Thanks, I was very pleased with how it came out.

Very nice work. I love 205 for this sort of thing too. I have noticed it will do a little filling on it's own if you don't work it for a hilariously long time; but when you get the process right it really rocks (as you've shown us!).

There were a few sections where I did a second pass with a little more time and got 100% removal. 205 works soo good on this car. Thank you.

Can't wait to see it! Thanks! I often fall in love with the cars I work on. I have such a big list of ones I want lol.

Im going to order a sample size of 205 to practice with now because of this thread.

Is the LC white pad their least-abrasive pad? Ive got 105 and a wool and a coarser-foam pad and Ive got hologram action goin on.

If i can only get one pad to go with the 205 to make it ready for wax, would you say a white pad is the way to go?

Or a black Meguiars pad?

Thanks. The car looks great.

Thanks. Skip the sample, get the 32oz or the gallon. I use so much of the stuff, its such a good polish. White is less aggressive than the orange. It has very little bite to it, so it finishes up very nicely. Yes white can finish down on just about anything, but you would do good to get the orange pads too.

Was that rotary or DA? Using my G110, #205 does pretty decent correction for a milder polish but via rotary, wow!

That S2000 really turned out nice!

Oh, forgot to put that. Did it on the PC.

Yes I have to post and say that car looks SEXY after! And before it looked like a Miata!

Incredible turn-around, I don't know if you or the owner is happier with the turnaround, anyone that spends that long bringing a car back has to feel something for it!

Great write-up

Great polishing!

Beautiful wax.

:buffing:

:thx With some people its hard to judge their reactions, this was one of those guys, very subdued reactions. But he did really like it.
