triple-chrome plated "lightweight and strong" *shrug* nearly $2000 with tires.

Lightweight?? I don't see any figures.. plus AUD$2000 with tyres is not all that much.. try getting something that is forged like SSR Comps or Volk TE37 and you'll see what light, strong and expensive is all about ;)

What kind of Edge pad did you use? The one with wool/acrylic or the foam pads? Did you use it with rotary?

rotary engines are low displacement and like any VTEC honda you're going to have to bring it up to the upperend of the RPM range to feel the power, no low end in those things.

Not that it matters, it's all about the twisties in RX8's.

Give to me I show you how to redline it in every gears(6) :grinno:

Rotary drink more gas than piston..omg. Not a good time to drive rotary around.

porta- i used the Edge 2000 blue polishing pad with my rotary.

everyone else- i put about 20 miles on this car and i know how to drive a rotary. I've acquired some fun seat time in two FC's and i understand the no torque policy of rotary's. I DID indeed redline this car in the first three gears and i still felt as though it was sluggish as hell. the vehicle i was driving that week was a S13 with an SR20DET that put down 249.6 to the wheels... so maybe thats why i felt it was sluggish, but either way, that car woudln't break into the 14's even at sea level. For me, if i consider a car to be "quick" (not fast), its gotta be at least tryin to hit low 14's....

Looks great! I'm still amazed at the RX8 engine bay. Lift up the plastic cover, and the alternator looks about as big as the engine :) The automatic is a dog, but the 6-speed is a pretty fun ride.

Do you think Klasse improved the look?

I've never tried FPII then Klasse, but like the way it turned out. Thanks for sharing.

i think the AIO improved the slickness and no doubt in my head improved the durability. the EXP is very easy to remove as it, but with a layer of AIO under it... wow... it just came off so so so easy. i removed all the EXP from this vehicle in probably under 5 minutes. the extra step of AIO was worth it in my head.

the rx8 is definately a fun car to drive around, and i've love to take it out on a back ground and really put it through its paces!
