Silver metallic paint .... looking for help.

What LSP would you recommend for that extra pop on metallic silver paint? I just ordered the Ultima sampler kit to try but wondered what else might be out there that I should try. I have used the Klasse twins and then went to Prime Acrylic and AJT which is very similar and I am not unhappy with the results but after a year or so I can't help myself and I am not afraid to try other products.

So far, DG 501 cleaning polish, DG 105 sealant and DWG glaze work well on my silver metallic. Liquid Souveran is nice but the sealant/glaze combo has a crisper look INMO.

I use KAIO and KSG, topped with Pinnacle Series II. I've used this for 2 years and have no desire to change. It looks beautiful in my opinion. I have a 2006 Reflex Silver Jetta if that makes a difference.

I was usiing the Klasse twins and then tried Jeff's AJT. They were both great on silver.

Now I'm using Optimum Opti-seal and Optimum Car Wax. Both Opti-seal and OCW really make my silver car shine with depth. Once I tried their Optimum No Rinse wash, I've been a total Optimum convert.

Used Optimum's OS 1st then in btwn washes with ONR) i would use Jeffs AGloss...wow!!. Quick and easy maintenance too with no problems with streaks which may sometimes occur when I use AJ and Optimum OS (i know i apply too much) :p hehehe

Thanks guys. I was never unhappy with the Klasse twins when I tried the Werkstatt twins but I just thought AJT was too easy to use (and I never had any trouble with SG). I am not unhappy with Werkstatt I just got the itch to try Ultima (sampler kit was too tempting). I have used 845 on other family vehicles but not on my GS400.

I must admit I am pretty much sold on all Optimum products as well. Couldn't live without ONR and I like using OCW after washes once I get a few layers of AJT on as a base. Optimum polishes are all that I use (occasional DACP) .... just love the no dusting. I tried a sample of Opti Seal on one car and it sure was slick.

I guess I will try the Ultima sample and see if I like it better than AJT or not. The wife's CRV is Pearl White and the Werkstatt really looks good on it as well.

My car is a '99 GS400 that I had custom painted with a little extra metallic in the silver and so far I think that the OCW (old version....still have about a half gallon) over a few layers of AJT brings out the metallic flake more than anything else I have tried. Within the next month or so I will clay, polish and give the Ultima a shot and see how it goes from there.

^^^ I've heard that as well and I plan on picking some up today and trying it out. Poorboy EX-P really seems to bring out the flake which is what it seems your trying to do correct? If you want to add depth and wetness top it with 845. I did that this winter, so the car will look good and have the protection of 845 and the flake looked amazing on my Evo. A carnuba seems to "mute" the flake a little bit, but I've heard really good things about Souveran II on sliver.

So far I think a sealant and or glaze (DWG) makes silver flakes pop the best. Nuba feels great but does mute the flakes compared to a sealant. And this is from someone who's a big fan of Liquid Souveran.
