The objectives for this detail were to:
- Restore the headlights (the OEM coating had failed in a few places, and left a odd `rainbow looking` defect` in the middle of the light
- Get everything cleaned and decontaminated
- Correct the paint to an acceptable level - it is a daily driver and chasing perfection was not required
- Protect everything.
So onto the detail, which was performed over the long weekend in April...
Headlights
Sand - 500 / 800 / 1000 / 1200 / 2000/ 3000 trizact
Compound - Menzerna FG400 on a rotary with a 3" wool pad, followed by Menzerna FG400 on the Flex 3401 with Orange Hybrid pads
Polish - Flex 3401, Menzerna SF4000 and Black Hybrid pads
Seal - *Un-named*

The `rainbow defect` seemed to be in the headlight or right through the plastic - I can`t know for sure as I wasn`t comfortable with getting any more aggressive than the 500 grit used. That area was primarily where the original OEM `film` had failed.

Clean - Blower, Carchem APC @ 1:5, brushes, MF towels
