silicone wax

I discovered them while ordering some items from Top Of The Line. TOL sells a bug residue remover which is something I've been looking for. Interestingly, it was drop-shipped to me from Hi-Temp instead of shipped with my order from TOL.

I used the bug remover today and was very impressed. Next summer when the june bugs are out in force I think this product will become a Godsend. I picked up some buggage during my holiday travels and used the bug remover as directed: Dilute 1:1, wet section first, spray on bug remover, let set up for one minute, rinse off, wash as normal.

I even tried it full strength on the side-view mirrors, which I forgot about during the wash. A little bug remover on a terry towel, wipe down mirror housing, wipe off excess. It left a filmy residue which came off easily with QD. I followed it up with a little Finish Prep then a shot of Finish First. Fantastico!

Has anybody used or tried Hi-Temp's products? They offer a pretty complete line, mainly targeted at detailing pros. Check them out here:

I do believe they have a sample kit for $11.00 that you can try the prodcuts out. I'm also looking into several of these products as well.

Hi there, I recently heard about a wax that is made with silicone emulsion, from a friend of mine and I was wondering if all the raving he does about how good this stuff is, is true

Welcome to TID rjohnson67, we do not allow for the placement of hyperlinks within your posts that would take a visitor to another e-commerce site or derivative of. But to answer your question this is the first I heard of it. I do remember the 70's to the early 90's alot of products had silicone in them which was the norm, also don't forget to introduce yourself to everyone.
