Signed a lease this morning

Its been a super busy day, let alone the last few weeks but, I finally made a decision. Iv'e been doing mobile service and/or drop offs at my garage at home for the past 6 months and saving every penny possible, yet building my business in the process.

Its official, My name is Colin, i'm 21 years old, and a proud small business owner!! The shop is right off the access road from the highway. Its 1000sq ft, has a decent size office, bathroom, and great garage space. This is the best step up for me I think because i'm trying to keep it low volume, high quality, and build a reputation with each customer, while making sure i'm secure as well. Mostly I don't want more than i'm able to handle in the beginning, because it's just going to be Me, & possibly my girlfriend.

Anyhow, the building manager had a crew inside the office so I couldn't snap any pics there. The remodel is going to take another week or so and my contract doesn't officially begin until May 1st. Ill be updating this as much as possible when its finally time to start "moving in". Also the garage needs a few things before i'd call it worthy & start accepting business there so that'll be in the updates as well. :)

Until I get more pics, here is the initial layout (paint style:lol2:)

Congrats, your garage looks like it will be really similar to Gurge's in size and layout. He's got a good build thread linked from AG on here and if you haven't already read it it may give you some good ideas for your setup. Keep up the good work and I'm looking forward to seeing the progress of your shop.

Congrats. It takes guts to start a business especially when you sign a lease. Hope things work out for you.

Congratulations on the shop. You have a good plan. It's easy to try and compete with everybody. If you set yourself apart from the pack you will do just fine.

Thanks everyone! This is truly an exciting time, yet very nerve racking as well haha. Went and picked up this keys about an hour ago. They are putting hardwood floor down in the office and I talked the manager to put in a bunch of lighting in for free :) Everything should be done by Tuesday if all goes as planned and then I can begin work on what I need to do.

Congrats!!! sounds like your building a good foundation to keep your business going in the future!!

So they pushed back the flooring a day so I got a chance to take a before picture. Also went and picked up some "kitchen & bath" paint for the garage area (off-white) and going to start on that tomorrow!

More updates coming in the following days!

Just wanted to say thank you to all the supportive comments, its been busy over the last couple days but totally worth the blood, sweat, and.. sweat.. lol.
Anyhow, I have a couple picture updates! The Floor is in & so is all my products! I was a bit of wide eyed seeing how much stuff iv'e accumulated over the last year. Once I get the shelving in i'm lining all the boxes up and taking a picture to give you an idea, before unpacking. More updates to come!
