A customer brought 2004 Black Honda Odessey to me. She was side swipped by a white car and asked for help. What to use to remove the white paint. Does not look like it broke through the clearkote.

what do you have as far as polishes?

start with clay, see if that will take it off, if not then try SSR1, try 1 or two passes... theres no point in grinding off lots of clear if you dont have to... perhaps even trying mineral spirts on a q-tip then rinsed well.

If it has not gone through the clear and is simply on the service you might as well not polsih (unless she is paying ofcourse)

the general rule i use is to use the least agresive method first, start small and work up. No point in doing more then you need to

just my 2 cents

try the SSR1 with a soft cotton towel, I would have picked Pro Polish , but rub back and forth following the swiping ..if it's not coming off easily then use the SSR2.5:cool:

Paint was removed, but he scratches are throught he clearcoat, and various dents. Husband made a decision to go to body shop and let the insurance handle it.

Try 3m rubbing compound 39002, follow with, ssr1. If this won't remove it
then you might have to go to ssr3, lets hope not.
