Showroom Shined: 40' Spra-Coupe Sprayer, CaseIH Combine, Kenworth

GlossyTundra

Tractor Detailer
Ok, I have been falling wayyyyy behind on my C&B's, so here is the first of a couple.

Both of these are owned by a local farmer that has had me detail his equipment for him for over a year. Farmer has me wash/wax all his equipment at different intervals during the year, more when they are done with them for the year.

First up is a 1998 Case IH 1644 Axial-Flow Combine. No wax on this one, just a wash and interior.

Poorboys Slick and Suds to wash

Super Green for tires/wheels/greasy areas

Air Dry

Poly Protectant on tires

IG on all glass

Quickshine on interior, Poly Pro on floor

Only took about 2hrs, most of which was powerwashing some black corn crud off of ALL the exterior.

:wow: Pretty cool assortment of vehicles. How did you get these clients?

I live in a huge rural area around many farms. I do more tractors, big rigs and construction equipment than I do cars. I just get recomended from other farmers. They are definatly a challenge to work on, especially that combine.

Nice work, but that Case could use some paint cleaner and wax.

Yeah, it could, but honestly, it's a lost cause. You'd have to do so much work to get it done, and even then only the big flat areas would have depth, the rest of the machine would still be faded b/c it would be impossible to wax everything. Plus, combine/tractor paint is super tough, its already 10yrs old and sits outside every day, it's only faded a little bit.

Poly Pro on the tires? More like Crisco!!!! Those tires on the big rig are sick! Nicely done :bigups

Yeah, the owner likes super super shiney. It's funny, I use the same dressing on all of my cars, but big rig tires allow it to be the glossyest. On other tires it's really really matte!

The Kenworth looks great! :) I'm guessing it is newer (2006+)?

I've done truck detailing before and while it certainly isn't my cup of tea, there is plenty of money to be made doing this type of work.
