Show Stopping SRT-4 (Half Carbon Fiber)

Today I was hauled in to work on a couple cars at Sport Compact Nights.

This is the SRT-4 I did, and it was in fairly bad shape. (Dealer installed wash package).

Car was dyno'd at 400whp, and probably has shaved over 200 lbs from the body.

Processes:

SSR2.5 on carbon fiber

SSR1 on paint (it was so soft I had to use a finishing pad, which even left haze).

Glazed it to remove haze.

Topped with S100.

Engine Bay:

Wipe down with Armor All.

First off is me with the PC:

That cool actually looks pretty good considering its a neon. I think the rims need to go to something more flashy and substantial... but otherwise, its awesome! I love the front end.

Re-read your post. That is like saying, "you look good, considering that your fat."

Anyway, the shine on the Neon is great.

Thats weird that the clear was so soft? I use 1zpp and a polishing pad on mine and it barely gets out minor hazing. Even used it with a cutting pad to take out a scratch and it didnt leave much more then really light hazing?

What glaze did you use?

Mother's Glaze. There was still a haze, but I told him once it was out of those lights, it would look good as day. I think he just needs to wash it.

Oh, I forgot to update what happend.

After the show last night, a flash flood occured, hydrolocking his engine, and destroying his front end...

Awesome work Steve! Great shine on the paint. That's a mean looking SRT-4 for sure. That is the pits about his misfortunes, I guess he'll be in the shop for awhile.

He just got out of it. Front end was in stock, and it turned out he just had to drain the 4L of water out of his intercooling piping. :woot2:
