Okay I'll go more in depth. If you do not mass market the Red then I think you should incorporate the Red formula into one if not both of the other waxes if this is possible.:passout:

:yourrock out with the old in with the new!!
Why would you not keep your best wax on the market?:wall maybe the best carnauba wax period!!

I know a fellow Civic owner that has tried both the blue and the red over a sealant and swears by Natty's red for its deep shine and is encouraging anyone looking for a wax with a deep wet look to try the red.

My recent thoughts on Red are that we will make it a once a year Limited run like the Super Slick & Wax, and I'll be looking for a special container or tin, since the lids were not the greatest for the larger plastic jars :)

How about free refills of the RED, Ive got 1 jar down and 2 to go. nice to use abd my kids really like the smell as do I. RANDAL

Steve help me understand this. I know that what we see here on the forum is only a limited sampling of your customers and sales. It seems that people really like this product and are asking for it. Is there something that restricts/prohibits making this product at a price point that is profitable and justifies its existence year round? I've never understood the limited run mentality on a consumable product. I understand the thought process on a product that is collectible (though fairly long wax has a shelf life) but if there is a market for the product and there appears to be, why not sell as much of it as you can? It seems to me that as new technology and manufacturing practices improve there will always be something better down the road. Isn't it better to get as much of the product to customers while the product is the latest and greatest around?

Well let's look at it as a whole perspective as i've received feedback from many more sources than just Detail City. Natty's Blue as it stands, is one of the best selling products that I have. It gives a deep wet look, is easy to work with and is at a price where many people compare it to some of the highest priced waxes out there. Natty's white as it stands, is a favorite of many people with light color cars and metalics and again after selling thousands of jars, I've hardly had a complaint for ease of use or the looks it gives. Now Natty's Red is not much harder to make, it does cost a little more to produce, and from the total feedback I've received and read is either a love or hate response. Yes, many many more do like it than dislike it. It does have a learning curve for some, in that it needs to be spread very thin and it does seem to work best when the spit shining method is used. In my personal experiences, I find it has incredible gloss and a slickness that is not usually found in carnaubas. It even seems to look better a couple days after application. The demand from distributors has not been as vocal as from the customers who have enjoyed it, compared to the reorders of Blue & White. So do I make a huge amount as i do with the blue & white and have it sit around waiting for the general public to appreciate and learn the nuances, or do I bring it back often enough to satisfy the people who really love it :hmmm: say once or twice a year? My business sense and education tell me to do the latter and then leave the door open to mass produce it should there be a major call for more.
There are quite a few distributors still holding some inventory, and when it all drys up, then i can re-evaluate again ;)
I hope this clears up where I stand :)

Thanks for the info Steve. It's nice to see the thought process and reasoning from the manufacturer. I can definitely understand why you'd leave this as a limited run.

if I did the $1500 per jar like another wax, I could swing it :rockon

1500 dollars!:hmmm:.:passout:

. . . yeah man you can afford it if you work a little more over-time :wow:

. . . and with free refills for life, you'd surely get your money's worth out of THAT, rabbi!! :bigups

how quick did you finish one jar? did you cake it on!:lol2: today i did my truck and DAMN it looks really nice( will post pics soon) you can really tell the difference between the blue and the red. but what i did find out (the hard way of course) is you need to put on a really really thin coat or else its hard to buff off but the results are extraordinary! thanks steve for the what i think is the best carnauba in the universe...
