I was told by SMP that using VM and CMW would be good enough to keep my car protected. I leave it outside all the time so it gets hit hard by rain and stuff. I was wondering what added protection would a sealant really add? Also, could I apply CMW on about 3hours after adding EX-P?

Sealants are more durable than waxes, particularly on dark colored vehicles.
You could apply CMW 3 hours after a sealant, but durability may suffer a bit, as opposed to letting the sealant cure for more time.

if your going to use RMG under the sealant, your not going to be able to use a few sealants out there due to bonding issues. Zaino, SG, and iirc, AJ won't bond correctly over a glazed surface.

I would be more inclined to let the EX-P cure and then hit it with something like Collinite Marquis or FK 1000P.
