So I finally got around to doing my first clay job on my Tacoma that has been neglected for a couple of years. The clay worked well and removed a lot of contaminants, but not these stubborn spots/stains. They don't really feel like water spots, more like some sort of contaminant got on the paint. It's been so long since I've taken care of the car, I can't really remember what it would have been.
I saw the recent thread about Windex, so I tried a test spot and it did remove them, but after a bit of smearing first. I'm not crazy about doing that over the whole car - and since I am going to polish (SSR 2.5 or SSR1) with the PC anyway - do I need to remove them first, or will the polish take care of it? The paint is very slick and smooth, it just has this stuff on it.
