Should I buy a Flex or a Makita 9227?

I tried the Flex yesterday at my friends house. I am impressed with it.

But the Makita can be bought for $165.00 shipped off of Ebay versus

the $300 for the Flex with pads.

What would you guys get? I like the Flex alot!

If you are proficient with the Rotary and serious about doing paint correction get the Makita.

If you are a novist and want the best thing you can get and will not be doing a LOT of heavy duty paint correction/wet sanding get the Flex, it is a great machine but is still a compromise from a rotary, but easier to use for most.

I've become really good with a Makita. I own a PC right now. So I

was looking for something better. I wasn't sure how much correction could

be done with a Flex.

You could buy a Makita and a DynaBrade attachment for it (giving you Flex DA functionality), and still not spend as much as just buying the Flex.

Argggg had I known that the Makita could be turned into a DA I would have not bought a FLEX !

best of both worlds

Here 'tis....

I thought we were going to keep this a secret! :D

There is some online tool site (name escapes me, but search, people posted about it) where they sell the full Makita + bag/kit for around $170. That's where I got mine.
