Shop-vac's ?

What determines better sunction? Is it the HP of the motor, or the brand and filtration system? I want one for my house but I want it to actually "suck" like the ones at the self-serve car washes. Any tips on models or brands would be great.

Heard Amps is important. Also what model series it is. Look on their site they have specific ones even more water spills. HP does matter, but size of the machine is the main focus.

HP is what you want to look at for the suction.
I have this one Rigid 5hp 4gal It has plently of suction for just about any mess and with the new wall mount , you can use it at home.

The amount of CFM or cubic feet per minute is important. The more the better. I have read that the amount of horsepower does not matter. I have an Alto Wap vac. This thing moves 120 CFM and is extremely quite. It has enough suction to easily pick up Quarters and other heavy objects.
