Shop Vac good enough?

I use 2 hoses (they fit together easily to make a 16' length) and that allows me to move quickly thru the entire car, without moving the vac...

Really quite a timesaver.

I recently bought the 5HP/4 gallon Rigid portable and love it. It replaces my old 3Hp 12 gallon Craftsmen vac on rollers. The Rigid is a LOT more convenient and a LOT smaller. It would be perfect for a dorm room. I'd recommend checking them out. Sears has a similar vacuum, as a few others have pointed out. Being able to pick it up and carry it around is wonderful.

I got it too and agree its good :up

$70 at home depot

thanks for the tip on the Rigid from Home Depot. I got the 5hp/4gal there for $49. It was open box (returned item) so it was discounted 20 bucks. Pretty sweet! Gonna play with it tomorrow.

I bought the hose kit for my 6.5 hp model from Home Depot. It comes with a 10' hose and adapter that is about 1.5" in diameter, plus some smaller hose end attachments for cleaning different areas. It makes it much easier to use than the big hose and it now gives me about 16' of hose. I can leave the vacuum at the front of the vehicle and get in all the doors to vacuum it out. I think it was an additional $19.95, so my total investment is $59.95 for the whole thing. I named it R2 D2, as that's what it looks like. I agree it's a little big, but it really sucks. lol:D

I have the 3.0hp/3.0 gal Craftsman. It's adequate, but I want something with MORE power. Thinking of the 5hp/4 gal Rigid, or may just get a 6.5 hp model.
