Hello everyone, i have found 2 locations for my shop. One is a good location on a busy street. on another location the big shop is located close(but not exactly on the street, you have to drive like 500 feet to the shop from the street) a very high traffic street. So which one is better (the price is not much difference) Thank you very much! On that shop i can put up a signs that will lead to my shop.

I would do the main street shop! something about seeing people working makes me want to stop in much more than seeing signs taht let you know where a business is at...

good luck with the shop! I need to get a static location, but no where around here is anywhere close to that cheap (your pricing). I am looking at 2-3K per month for the same sized place in a few prime areas

how many bays are in each place ?

1200 has =

1000 has =

location is key main st. is nice but production an size an uniformity is way better.

I would get the better location, but 1000 square feet is not much space. Maybe enough shop space for 3 cars, but probably only 2 cars with all the doors open. You don't want to squeeze the cars too tight, and ding anything up. With such low rent, you should easily be able to make a good living detailing.

If you can work outside, take the shop DIRECTLY on the main road. If people see you working, they will stop, and they will make appointments (or some cases, just waste your time).

wow you guys get to score on rent! I would love to open a shop but man rent her as toyotaguys says is like $2,000+ for a proper spaced shop depending on location of course.
