Shock skids installed

PA DETAILER

DETAILED TODAY?

Being the shock mounts are low on the ZR2, installed the Datin fab shock skids today. Protection for the expensive DSSV dampers.

PAT DETAILER- Hey, good move! The later Crown Vics had `em on the rear shocks, but for a different reason (so they don`t puncture the gas tank if rear-ended).

Are those gonna be easy enough to clean out (like..stuff getting built up during winter)?

They fit really close (good design) so junk getting in there should not be a issue. Pic is from another members truck. AEV also makes a really nice boron steel rear diff skid. Easy install. Looking at this maybe. Protects the axel shaft & U -joint too.

PA DETAILER- Heh heh, even a "No trucks, thank you!" (despite that Tahoe :o ) guy like me has heard of AEV! If they make it, I`m sure it really is All That.

Glad the shock towers won`t collect [crap], but hey...*are* you gonna drive it year-round or will it be for nicer-weather-use?
