Shiny, Red, Italian... a winning combination - Ferrari F430 - Paint Correction - Attention to Detailing Peoria

This is a very low mileage and well pampered vehicle. The owner had already spent many, many hours cleaning the undercarriage, suspension, and wheels, so all we had left was to get the paint in good shape. A two step correction process was used to remove the majority of defects from the paint. Afterwards, the vehicle looked incredible!

Wash: Meguiar's D114
Decontamination: Fine Grade Clay with Glide for Lubrication
Paint Correction: Meguiar's D300 on MF Cutting Pads via Rupes LHR21ES MKII
Paint Polishing: CarPro Essence on Rupes Yellow Polishing Pads via BOSS G21
Paint Protection: Blackfire Wet Diamond

Finishing polish makes a dramatic difference in color and clairty, as expected.

As always, thanks for reading!

Wow, makes the Red Honda I posted look like chopped liver. Great job, always enjoy reading your posts here and on other sites you contribute to.

Wow! Nice work Zach! I'm kinda jealous, I miss wiping BFWD off of paint. That stuff was the definition of slick.

Thanks everyone!

Not going to lie, Joe, it was pretty great using it again. It's been far too long since I've had a chance to use it on a customer car.

awesome job. first time seeing someone use essence under a sealant. btw what's your camera/lens do you use?

We use Essence under Reload more commonly, but this is the 2nd time I've topped it with BFWD.

Current camera gear is as follows:
Nikon D610
Nikon 24-120mm f/4 VR
Sigma 50mm f/1.4
Nikon 105mm f/2.8 VR micro
Tamron 70-200mm f/2.8 VC
Collection of lighting gear

Very nice zach! Is there a reason that you used the rupes21 for compounding, then the g21 for polishing? 2 people working or something else?

Yep, 2 people working.... I compounded and my partner Matt followed behind me and polished. He usually likes the Rupes but since we only have one at the moment I wanted more time with it :)

Any issues with BFWD over Essence? I have wanted to try this combo but haven't pulled the trigger on Essence yet. Did you do an eraser/ipa wipedown first, or just polished enough to make sure the oils in the Essence broke down?
