Do the sheepskin mitts shed in the washing machine like the chenille mitts? I have the megs chenille mitt, threw 2 of them in the washer with a few other things, and holy crap did they shed. I had cotton chunks stuck to everything that was in the wash.
I wash them by hand to help lengthen longevity. I have washed in the machine in the past, there is some shedding but nothing at all like the mass of lint I got from chenille. I now wash sheepskin by hand and dry inside out in the dryer. This method works really great for me. The mitts last.
Best way I have found is take the hose when you are done washing the car and blast the mitt to get the dirt out- I take a dab of car wash and massage it into the mitt and blast with hose again, much easier to just do it right then.
I blast the mitt with a hose (fireman's nozzle set to "stun") & then wash 'em by hand. Shake/squeeze out as much water as possible & then let them air dry.
I haven't tried this with mitts, but it works great for pads. I get the pads as dry as i can (putting them on the PC at 6 and let 'er rip) and then I tape the back of the pad with masking tape to the front of my dehumidifier. It works. I guess you could wring the heck out of the mitt and tape it by the cuff to a dehumidifier (if you have one).
