Sheepskin Mitt that doesn't fall apart after 2 dozen uses

Hey guys, the sheep skin mitts I purchase from Pepboys seem to fall apart in less then 20 uses. I'm curious as to your experiences with a mitt that won't fall apart so soon.

As far as I know, the ones Excel sells are the same ones you can buy from WalMart (Eurow brand), the difference being at Excel they pick out the best and sell them for a little more.

I have been happy with the Eurow mitts, but I have found they don't hold up as well as my SM Arnold mitts. However, at $5 each, the Eurow mitts are cheaper than the SM Arnold which typically sells for $10 (Super Autobacs is So Cal sells them for $6, but thats the only place I've seen them that low).

Out of curiosity, where did you hear that Eurow mitts were the same as the Excel mitts?

I like the Euro mitts...I have some that are 3 years old and over 40 washes on them and still look good and not shedding....I do not machine wash them...I wash in a bucket ..hose off and hang to dry....

To be honest I don't know for sure, but a friend told me they are Eurow mitts and if you look on the Excel site, the pictures they show look very similar to Eurows. They're also similarly priced.

Pakshak also sells the Eurow mitts (at $9/each).

I got mine from the Autopia store a few years ago and I'm still using the same ones. No problems from machine washing them either.

One of my Eurow SS mitt is falling apart, but it is not after 2 dozen washes. I normally rinse and dry them off after I'm done, but on one occasion I forgot them in a bucket for several days. I had two Eurow mitts in the bucket, one from PakShak and the other from Walmart. I believe the Walmart one is falling apart. Chucks of fibers are peeling away from the leather every time I use them. I'll wait till it gets real bad and toss 'um away.

My Euro mitts, for the most part, have held up well. Every once in a while, I run into one that falls apart early, but at $5 bucks a pop, I can't complain.

I've also had very good durability from the mitts sold at sheepskin.com.

I wish they weren't as expensive as they are but I really like the sheepskin mitts from Griots.

Griot's Garage 1-800-345-5789 - Car Care

I've never seen anything else as thick and soft as they are. If you take good care of them they'll last a long time. I which I could find someplace cheaper to get these exact mitts.

Yes from what I've seen the Griot's are different from the mass marketed EuroW (Which basically are everywhere). I think the Griot's one comes from a Canadian distributor. Now if someone could find the company I'd be happy.
