They are still selling it. I'm ready to buy it, but wanted some input first. On another site, one was happy with it and one said it wasn't worth it. It's only 99 bucks with free shipping, but why buy it if it doesn't work.mystic04 said:Don't buy it i had one and it lasted for about 3 months before it broke.Besides shark isn't making them anymore from the websitei went to. but i could be wrong on that also.
Thanks, looks good. Have you tried it?JunD said:I had one for about 5 years. I constantly used it to clean around the kitchen, bathroom, and toilet bowls. lol And every once and while I've used it to clean rims with very tight spots from a short distance. In the 5 years that I've owned it, before it broke, it's a very questionable product. It's advertised to shoot at a certian temprature up to a certian distance but I've realized I was limited to like 4" max. The steam didn't get up to temp at times and it was really irritating. In order to 'reload/refill' I had to let it cool down completely because the cap was made of metal (burned my hand on it), and pooring in cold water probably caused the heating element inside to not work properly. (give it like a 15min cool down time)
One full tank lasted about 10~15min depending on the nozzle attachment.
If you do buy the product, I would highly suggest not to use tap water. It started building up calcium deposits inside which caused havoc (had to use CLR for about 1hr and somehow dribble out the gunk build up).
And you do have another option. Order the steam cleaner kit from Harborfrieght. It's $100 right now I believe. It has a much larger tank and you could go on a bit longer.
Steam Cleaner Kit
Cheaper then the one I was looking at and no attachments, but free shipping.az57chevy said:My son bought one from Costco for $75. here's their link Shark steamer
He said it removed dirt from his grout on floor tile and also cleared up his glass shower door. He had a unit I loaned him but he like the Shark better. Gets steam right away.

I purchased it off Amazon for about $70 and it came with the triangle head for cleaning leather and interiors and several other attachments as well. Ive cleaned my bathroom, steamed my tile floors, and of course done many interior steam cleanings and tires with it as well. The steam lasts for about an hour and the cap on it isnt metal so you wont burn your hand when opening it. I looked at the Shark as well before deciding on the McCuloch since it had better materials, warranty and many more positive reviews on it as well. Hope this helps.

overall, if you're wanting a cheap steamer to use for small jobs *shower/ tile/ some patches on auto carpet* it works well. just be patient!
been using mine around every other week with small projects taking less than 30 minutes each. been working well for me without any malfunctions... BUT be sure it is completely HOT before trying to use it! if you hit the trigger under the 10 minute mark from it being turned on, it will shoot hot water and not steam.
attachments... the plastic brush worked for 2 cleanings... not its mostly just for looks. the plastic is prone to loosing it's brush quality.
brass - works well for small parts. pointer has mostly been fixed to the end since the end of month 1. i have yet to use the glass cleaning connection.
hope it helps!
