Anyone used these puppies?

Looks intriguing but not sure about car paint. Gotta love infomercial productions though. Always makes the products a "MUST HAVE!"

They are a joke. Walmart sells one I think it's called the absorber, just as good. But for drying off a car a good Microfiber is best. It has the ability to trap particles in it without scratching your finish.

I have several of them rolled up in several places that I collected over the years. I have yet to even try them out. I use a high quality microfiber waffle weave towel for drying. These might be good for cleaning certain wheels and the interior, but I would never use them on painted finishes.

I'ld be concerned with putting anything on my paint that called itself a "sham" :nervous2:wow...

Especially after spending most of the day polishing and waxing... just a thought...

Oh The Absorber is no scam product. It's actually really good, soft, absorbent and doesn't scratch. When you squeeze it out it doesn't lose absorbency, seems once you saturate a microfiber and squeeze it's not as absorbent as a fresh dry one. And if you spill a drink onto carpet it's so absorbent it'll get the whole drink out, pour water back onto the carpet and you can "rinse" out the remaining drink by squeezing and blotting again. I like the absorber and if the ShamWOw is a bigger version I'd probably buy it.

This is not like the absorber (which is essentially a synthetic chamois). Shamwow is like a cloth material, the texture is like felt, IIRC it's made of rayon. Use it on your kitchen floor, use it on your dog, use it on your kid or wife, but DO NOT use it on your paint.

yea I saw one it looks the same as that cheap, rough "towel"

that they sell at every fair, car show, ect for the past several years

LULZ you put your car before your wife and kid. a man after my own heart.

aborber works ok for certain things, but once dirty they are useless. i used to use one till i found out about microfiber towels for drying. if your towels are loosing aborbancy, i would check your wash process of the towels. if you use any type of softener, they will get that way. at least in my experience.

Eww those synthetic felt ones don't absorb crap. And they scratch paint. It seems every few years these towels seem to pop up. Took me a while to break down and buy the absorber, but if this is another felt no thanks.

Another reason I use my Toro handheld leaf blower with a filter and different nozzles.

It can dry a car in no time, no streaks, or dragging, best when sun comes around and you need to get the water off quickly.

I'll take my blower over a towel in speed anyday. :2thumbs:

If I do have some light water left on an area, I use MF/WW towels for this.

As long as the area is still wet from washing, you're safe. If you move it to a dry area, then do not use a blower. That's unless you park on a tarp.

These wonder towels are up there with the water blade. Good idea, but God help you if you get one little speck of dirt trapped in one of these devices and all that hard work goes to hell in a handbasket in a minute.

You can try it and report back on how it works on your car. Me, I'll stick to my Toro.

I get a kick out of the Sham Wow commercial. The guy is a total salesman, I think its funny when he says "I cant do this all day". It's a commercial lol. Thats the kind of guy that make's my wife come home with a truck load of Scam Wow's.

he reminds me aof Steve-O from Jaskass

I have the TV commercial Shamwow. I've never used it on my car and never will, but it is great at drying my dog (yellow lab) after one of her swims. I use it around the house as well for general cleaning - not a bad product. They feel much softer after they're washed.

A friend of mine bought one and was not too impressed. I think a good quality waffle weave MF cant be beat for absorbancy, and a leaf blower followed by a super plush MF is your best bet especially on a near perfect black finish .
