Shampoo?

Hey guys so I'm going to buy some new shampoo here pretty soon. I recently ran out of Turtle Wax Ice wash and althought I try to steer clear of TW because I consider it entry-level, it did leave a good amount of shine and got the car pretty clean. Now I want to know if there are any better shampoos out there that I can buy at your average advanced auto shop. So recommend any!

And if you're feeling very generous, you can recomment a good leather cleaner/conditioner that I could find at the same shop!

:thank you: guys!

Duragloss Car Wash Concentrate #901 is available at Car Quest (if you have one near you - There isn't any advanced auto near me). That's one of the best car wash soaps around.

as mentioned... the DG car wash concentrate is tops (one of my faves) and around $20 a gallon at your local carquest. otherwise, you can get two 64oz bottles of megs gold class for $10 (or $5 each) through 9/14 IIRC at your local target...

also (you can order it from them direct and enter "gold" for a 5% discount) ... CG's citrus wash & gloss is excellent and around $20 a gallon, it's a steal considering you only use 1 - 1 1/2 ounces per wash (use more to strip lsp's, etc) and one gallon will last a very looong time...

duragloss 901, surf city garage pacific blue wash, and eagle one wash and wax, have all impressed me.. ive heard good things on autopia about the ice wash, and was tempted to get some a few times... but i have enough carwash to last me for many years ha.

You guys are awesome! I think I'll probably go with Meguiars gold class since meg is probably the most high end product I can find at advanced auto haha

You might want to try Griot's car wash. You'll have to mail order it, but I think that you'll like it.

Its much better that the OTC stuff that I've tried, including, IMO, the Gold Class. I've not tried the TW Ice.

Yeah, the Griot's is what I use. I hear the Optimum shampoo (not ONR, but rather their conventional shampoo) is just as good and considerably cheaper.

I'm not a big fan of Gold Class, preferring #62, which is usually available at autobody/paint supply places.

I've never seen it there before and I was at AA yesterday looking at detailing supplies. I've heard the Surf City shampoo can be had at some AA's but again didn't see it at my local store.

The local Federated Auto parts by me stocks Duragloss products also. Call the store up because if its not in stock they can get it from their distributor in one day. Click on retailers on the duragloss website for other store options.

Duragloss stuff is often available OTC. And it's another thing you can often find at autobody/paint supply stores. IMO any detailer oughta at least check the yellow pages for the supply store in their area as it can greatly expand the notion of "OTC products".
