Shampoo?

I think it depends on A LOT of things. Foam gun use, wash before polishing or re-ealing or waxing, maintenance are all different products IMO. I use z7 for maintenance and i want to grab some p21s shampoo also some megs stuff. Also some cg w&g, jesse is it good stuff?

For conventail washing. I use Chemical guys citrus wash and gloss

+1. I like to mix it with Zaino Z7, though. If you decide to use CG's CW&G, be careful not to mix it too strong. It will take off your LSP.

I forgot about all the variables... lol hmmmm... No foam gun here. I have a garden hose with 4 different spray nozzles lol. Don't mind purchasing online, would like a local store for convience.

well like said you will get a ton of answers...I will thow my two favorites in...one is online and one is store bought

online...Griots ..super nice...39.99 a gallon...gentle...cleans very good...not a LSP stripper as far as I know...super lubricity....

online or Over the counter...Duragloss 901...closest shampoo I used to Griots...same characteristics ..20.00 a gallon...you can get from online vendors..from the factory or from Napa or Carquest....they may have to order it for next day pick up...

they come in smaller bottles also..but buying a gallon is a saver ...

Different Shampoos for different situations...

1. Pre-wash foaming = Meguiar's Hyperwash

2. Two bucket method (before polishing/waxing) = Chemical Guy's Citrus Wash + Gloss

3. Two bucket method (when wax is present) = Meguiar's Gold Class

I would drink this stuff if I could...

I would suggest checking out CG. For my "Foam Gun" that I bought at ace hardware I use CG Max Suds. I plan on picking up some of the citrus wash. Just remember with CG stuff. LESS is good. ALMOST everything from them is very concitrated. Just use common sense. Plus it smells great : ) p21s is also great great stuff. The smell reminds me of the doctor office though?...

I don't like the deep crystal wash very much. I think it lost suds pretty quick and didn't provide great lubricity. The best shampoo from Meg's is GC IMHO. I like NXT just because it smells so darn good, but I don't use it on my car anymore.

It's about half the price, and more watery. It's sort of designed for general washing.

I use Gold Class as well, but DC wash reminds me of my younger days so it's nostalgic for me.

Will CG citrus wash take away the wax?

Yes, if you mix it too strong. There are directions on bottle for correct amounts to use as either at a normal, non-LSP stripping strength, and also as a "take it to the clear coat" pre-polishing cleaner.
