Hey guys, I was wondering if you guys could help me with a question about the glossy black plastic trim on my car.

Do you guys know of a good product/technique to remove swirls and restore the color and consistency to these types of panels? Would Poorboys SSR1 be safe for these? Would it be effective? Or would I be better heading in a different direction?

I've searched for info on these, and I've read suggestions on a few dressings and even the forever black dye, but that info all seemed geared more towards the more porous, flat/matte type trim, and I haven't really found much to address this smooth, glossy type surface.

You might try a plastic polish, such as the ones Zaino or 3M offers. Or, you could try Plexus, but I think it would be a bit to mild in this case. Plexus works great for maintaining it though.

I would think a swirl remover would work as well, but I would start with the mildest you have and work up.
