What I learned from this experience is. If you want to know whether the applicator has enough SG or not, just do a single slow swipe on the panel and you should see the SG flash immediately and turns clear (from a clear streaks). If the streaks doesn't go away (after the initial 3 secs), you've applied too much SG. Also be careful when you are applying, sometimes you might think there isn't enough on the applicator but if you press hard you will squeeze out just enough SG for the thinnest layer possible.
It's so much easier to put a very very thin layer and let it flash, then you literally have nothing left to wipe off. Remember, if you can see it, you've put too much.
