sg on polished aluminum

I drive a semi and i recently polished my aluminum tanks ...if i used sg would it provide some lasting protection from oxidation...................any draw backs

I think it would definatly give you some lasting protection. No draw backs that I can think of. They should be easier to clean next time.

I made 2 polished aluminum heat shields that sit very close to my engine .. I did them with SG in Feb and still shining today .. no ill effects and no oxidization so far.
