SG hazing?

I recently used Klasse on a red F-150 SC. I applied 2x AIO with 1x SG on top. I buffed the SG using the wet towel method (1 wet to remove and, 1 dry to buff) It came off easily, as usual but left a haze in some places. I tried several QD's and even put another coat of SG on top and the haze remained. Any ideas??

i have a thread here where i stated "while i was burnishing the final BF after 3M RCFC, i noticed that the "rays" from the reflected lamp would change. i tested this. when i would move left to right, the ray was up and down. when i moved up and down, the ray was left and right."

can you tell if this is happening with the klasse? or is it a non-directional haze? i know it sounds weird, but mine was like there is an oil or some type of petroleum jelly or something on the surface. i was able to remove with MF finally. terry didn't work.

you have done everything i would have done. the next step i would do is to wash the area to remove all products and look at the bare paint itself. then monitor each application of products until you find the culprit.

On coats 1-4 on my SG applications, I had hazing. The 5th took it off totally. I have no idea why.

Try finding one of the haze streaks. Use your finger tip to try to get a small area off. Did it come off?

If it did, all you need to do is use a little more muscle when buffing. IMO, I still just use plain water.

I tried Klasse AIO & SG for the first time yesterday and I got the hazing also. Seems it appears because of using to much dampness in applying it or to much product. I used a quick detailer and it disappeared.

I also used a topper of Gold Class and it looks like a black mirrored lake now.

The only time i had hazing was when I purposely applied SG thicker than normal. Use of a QD removed the hazing.

I've never had a hazing problem b4 this time. I keep the whole SG process dry (except for the SG liquid :D ) as is recommended by Klasse. The hotter or dryer it is, the quicker I can buff it off.

I've been using Klasse AIO and SG for well over a year now, multiple coats and have yet to see any hazing. I use very thin coats and remove it with a damp MF towel. I recently helped three friends detail their cars all with AIO and SG and agian there was no hazing. I thought it was due to the warm Houston weather, but I see several of you who have hazing are in Houston!

I have been using Klasse AIO / SG since 1987(back in Evrope) and never had a problem. I think the key is to apply thin and uniform coat of both products, specially SG,some times You would have to go through same spot twise to remove residue:up

I got the haze on my truck but I haven't noticed it in awhile... of course I haven't been looking for it :D

I think if I do Klasse SG again I'm going to apply it in circular motions :O

I heard someone say he got hazing but it stopped when he applied it in circular motions. I'll have to test it out on a panel or something.

I may actually just go back to pure ole Carnauba. I applied P21S this wednesday and really liked it.

I've done this a few times already on both mine and my friend's car and have never seen any hazing. Like Serg said, think and uniform coat will keep the haze away. And if it hazes, just use QD.

I put S100 on my truck a couple of days ago and it looks absolutely stunning! I love the shine and the depth of the paint.

Thanks for all your replies everyone! I actually did not find a resolution to it, but since it was not mine, or a customer's truck, and it was only in one place I just left QD'd a few more times and left it alone. If I ever run into the problem again, I will try to tackle it and see what works.

Anyway, thanks again! :wavey
