SFP #82, VM, and NXT on my Electron Blue Pearl Civic SI

Figured this would be the last chance I got to do so in a while so I did a nice polish and wax on the SI. It wasn't in bad shape at all but figured I would get it all nice for the summer.

Before:

Dirty, before wash.

Still before wash.

And before I could wash it rains. Wonderful Oregon weather. Not bad for over 2 months on a coat of S100.

Washed, dried, and taped up for polishing.

After wash with Dawn, Meg's swirl free polish #82, Vanilla Moose, and Meg's NXT.

And of course it started raining while I was taking the after pics.

I love that first pic of the beading. I hate it when rains right after you detail the exterior. Nothing but a detailer's curse.

SFP + VM + NXT

That's the same procedure I was using on my car...until I had a love affair with # 7 :)

What kind of springs on your Si?

Well, not exactly sure. I know they are H&R but don't know if they are sports or race. They are red and the car sits pretty low but it rides pretty nice. I need to get the part number off them and cross reference to find out for sure because everyone asks what kind of springs it has.

Looks great! I've also used that combo with similar excellent results.

I just love that electron blue pearl color. If I was going to keep my Accord long enough to require a repaint, I would seriously consider that color.

Something to consider: part of the reason that color looks so good is the car it is on. I've seen many vehicles (Integras, different Civics, custom trucks, etc. etc.) and the color doesn't look nearly as good as on a 99-00 SI.

Im not a huge a civic fan but that car is VERY nice. Very nice color and the fact that its an Si and you haven't "riced" it out to look like fast and furious, is what i like abou it.

very nice paint, and great work on the detail.... good to auctually see the difference in the pics.

and yes that color looks great on Si and Preludes

Thanks. I'm not a fan of the typical Honda ricer crap. I like keeping it clean looking. This is one car that looks best the way it came from the factory. Well, plus a little suspension work.

:xyxthumbs and clean looking it is.

you got any pix of the interior

Another EBP Si owner here ;)

I too dont like the look of EBP on any car but the 99-00 coupe, just doesnt look right anywhere else...

Nice job on the car, looks great.

One thing though, no clay? Might want to give that a shot next go around, really smooths the paint out nice and gets rid of all the inbedded stuff you cant see...but can feel.

Looks fantastic, much props on the detail, and of course...the car.

BTW: I dont know about you, but I almost love my car too much to modify it too much. Like you I have suspension mods, bolt ons, and minor things here and there.

Oh well, key word was almost, turbo is in the works :xyxthumbs

No, I need to get some though. Nothing too fancy, just the stock black interior with a car seat in back. I have an autometer gauge bezel dual pod with Autometer phantom gauges and a full DVD setup with flip up Alpine monitor in the stock CD player location, DVD player in the lower cubby hole, and 6 disc in the trunk.

I do have this shot that some of you may like though.

When I saw your intake I thought....turbo

Then, I saw a header

whats that intake?

Its an AEM replica. Identical in every way but the price tag. It was ceramic coated in grey/silver and I used the blue silicone connectors so it would somewhat match. Used to have a Injen Technologies short ram that was chrome with red fittings and it was just too bling and stand out for me so I went with the CAI.
