SF Bay Area Detail Meet?

Has anyone ever put one on. I'd like to go to the next one. I wish I could host one here at my place but I live in a townhouse and my neighbors already give me enough crap about me detailing my car. :) Anyway I'd like to meet some fellow autopians and learn more techniques. :)

Me too. :-) Let me know if any autopian is hosting to meet..

Anyone is welcome we just need to find a spot to go to and meet. Bring out some pads, towels and some cars. We'd be good to go. Anyone have any ideas for locations? Today I did my buddy's Lexus IS350 and man I would I like some tips from other autopians. So if anyone has any ideas, I'd be willing to try to organize something.

I'm interested as well! I'm just starting to get more serious about detailing (by Autopian standards, anyway) and would like to exchange some detailing tips with you guys!

Unfortunately, there is no garage space at the house I'm living at, but there is a park with tons of shady parking space nearby. I'm in Castro Valley, which neighbors Hayward, San Leandro, and Dublin.

Free on most weekends.

BTTT!

Gauging interest for a weekend detail meet!

Possible location:

Cull Canyon Park

18627 Cull Canyon Road.

Castro Valley, 94552

Lots of shady parking space, but no running water that I know of. Wash before you come, and we can all do a QD or QEW spritz when we get there!

edit: Just realized that there's no power there! d'oh

Doesn't make a lick of a difference to me, since I apply everything by hand. But I imagine at least a few of you will have your 7424's and rotarys in hand ;D

Some power would be nice. Although by hand methods would be nice to learn from others. The real meat of detailing is with the PC and Rotary.

I would imagine a lot of car clubs in San Fran why not turn it into a club / learning session. A good way to get some business for you as well.

I can supply a generator that can run 10 or more PC’s and I have a water tank. Let me know? I live 140 miles north of the Bay Area

Is this still gonna happen? I'd be interested. I don't have any clue how to detail my car, and would really like to learn how.

I think we need to find a good spot to do this at. Any suggestions other than park where people will stare at us in awe of what we are doing. LOL. I'll be waiting for the first person to come and say either "is my car next" or "you'll buff the paint off". HAHAHAHAHAH
