severe paint damage

This is apparently from a bird dropping. car is an 04' camry. paint seems to be amazingly thin. without repainting the whole hood, how well can spot touchup work?



how would one approach the clean up of this?



can someone explain to my why i cant upload here? these are the right dimensions and size.

I am totally speechless...it reminds me of the time I froze paint on a fence...wow...what the heck was that bird eating? :think:

this is my 'clients' car. at first we swore it had to be some kinda construction fallout or some crazy acid that over sprayed. the dealer claims that its a combination of bird dropping and the heat from the summer sun. clearly, it has eroded down to the primer layer...



any help is greatly appreciated

Is this original paint? Toyota paint is really hard and pretty resistant to most natural paint hazards like bird bombs. Not even eggs do that much damage.

OEM paint, these spots are located on the hood. besides the occasional wash, the car has never been prepped with any wax or sealant. so protection is only the paint and clear coat it came with
