the 7 spokes are oem 97-98 acura integra type r wheels, the others are volk te-37's. volks in that size are 4-500 a rim

bah! 4x100 isnt going to fit. I knew the volk's were hella expensive... I was looking at them dreaming one day. my jaw dropped when I saw the price. But forged strength plus a lower weight than most wheels out there *drool*

ah well, scratch that idea off the rim shopping list.

the volks are ray engineering rims. heh heh.

so people are saying

1) EO A2Z <--- walmart?

2) Wheel Wash <--- where do i get this?

and no, the rims weren't washed when the car got back from the track. stupid stupid stupid.

3M adhesive remover doesn't do all that well on brakedust for me. Good for tar and removing old glue-on weights though.

The EO stuff is in stock at my local autoparts stores. IIRC the A2Z is now called "All Wheel & Tire Cleaner" or something like that.

Wheel Wash is at TOL . They also have some wheel scrubbers sorta like the ScotchBrite pads (look for the yellow honeycomb-like sponge on a red handle). But get a few as they wear down quickly. Don't splash the Wheel Wash in your eyes, might want to wear gloves as it can sting a little if it gets in a cut.

[Edited for typo :o ]

I had the same problem on a set of white Revolution Racing Wheels. Never had a problem with them 'till I changed to Performance Friction pads . . . then they looked exactly the way yours look.

I tried polishes, AIO, clay, etc. Nothing even improved the situation a little bit.

I hope that you can find something that works for you, but mine were stained for life.

The EO A2Z is a good OTC wheel cleaner. However, the Megs Wheel Brightener and Poorboy's Spray 'n Rinse also recommended are much, much more powerful than the EO.

the type r's are 5x114.3 if you are interested, but they are 15 inch so you probably wouldn't want them anyways, but they look good :) ssr makes a good 7 spoke as well, my type c's weighed in at 9lbs for a 15x7 wheel

this meg's wheel brightener, is it ok for clearcoated rims like these? sounds like it's only for chrome or aluminium meg rims.

i'll look into the EO A2Z Wheel Cleaner.

i think that wheel brightener slightly dilluted should be ok. just dont let it sit and follow it with car wash shampoo afterwards. personally i don't think eagle one will touch that, but for your sake i hope i am proven wrong. good luck!
