Serious Performance MF Cloths

Hi Guys,

Some of you in the UK may know ALex Creassy of Serious Performance. Appart from being Nissan Skyline enthusiasts :D we both love detailing.

Just before christmas he kindly gave me some sample MF cloths to use. Due to the lovely British weather we have been having i havent been able to wash my car. After the heavy snow we had last week and the salt on the road my girlfreinds black mini looked a mess si i thought i would give it the once over.

I washed with Meg GC shampoo, clayed the body and then applied some BF paint protectant. I used the plush purple towel that i was given and it worked a treat with NO linting or any marring of any kind.

When the time came to clean the filthy windows which havent been cleaned in god knows how long, i thought i was going to have problems. I used the GREEN MF which doesnt really look like an MF as it has no pile on it. I made the towel damp and lightly cleaned the windows. I can say that the GREEN towel was a miracle. It lifted ALL the dirt with minimal effort! I then dried it with the DARK GREEN MF cloth which was VERY plush again without any linting, creating a perfect window wthout any straks.

All i can ask is for Alex to bring more of these towels in the UK and start selling them. They are great!!!!

Kind regards

Gerry

In the country yes....With me, no such luck. UPS have been nothing but useless in the last couple of weeks. A four day shipment is now going on two weeks. Anytime now basically....Fingers crossed and all that :D.....

Thanks Gerry, glad you liked them :).

If these are the AG cloths then I'd second what Gerry said - the purple one in particular is too nice - particularly for wax removal.

Makes the £9.99 for a Megs Ultimate Wipe look a bit silly, don't it...?

Thanks Andy :).

Although credit where credit is due, it was Jim (Vindaloo) who put me in touch with AG/ Aquatouch, so a big thankyou to Jim is in order :).

Cheers.

I actually like the Megs Ultimate Wipe - it's a nice quality MF. But I agree - a tenner! It's cheaper to get MF's from Ranney all the way from Hawaii. Megs UK must be having a laugh!

Alex - I'll have to try some of those AG MF's. I'll order a couple along with a bottle of NXT when the weather gets better... that's a big WHEN!

:( ........dam UPS

Alex, did you get my cheque?

My thoughts exactly Tony. I'll confirm about the cheque tonight when I get in but I think I got it last week thanks.

Couldn't agree more Craig.....I thought the weather was being kind yesterday, so spent around six hours on the paintwork only for it to chuck it down about 2 minutes after I finished in the afternoon........ Cue Hamlet cigar scenario :D.....

Thanks for the credit, Alex;)

Yes the AG towels are on a par with Ranney's, with the ultra-fibre maybe a little softer than his regular ones. Could be similar to his new yellow ultras.

The MF mitts are good, but they have a tendency for the elastic wrist bit to break away from the mitt itself.

Yeah, they are the older Mitt. Nick at AG did point this out. The new ones are stitched differently so they shouldn't pull away.

Cheers :).

It's a niggle that has been recently sorted. Don't think theres any difference in appearance, just the stitching is stronger now. The new ones have been about for a while now. I've already had a couple when I had the samples, and that must be over a month ago now.

I personally am still not a mitt fan, so I tend to hold it like a sponge rather than wear it as a mitt...Personal preference I guess :).

Alex, I wrote you and asked about the postage to germany for the towels. I´m very interested in the Aquatouch FBZ.

What do you think about the Aquatouch FBZ 60 x 90cm Microfibre Towel and the extra large prima monster fluffy Alex selling?
