Sequence of FX-100/Pink Wax???

Thanks to all who advised me that FX-100 can be used over other sealants and over carnauba.

I ordered up some 425,FX-100 and Pink Wax. I want to use both FX-100 and PW but I am unsure which one to use first. My instincts tell me that PW would be the true LSP here but when I see people using FX-100 over other carnaubas, I am unsure of the sequence of their usage.

Is this just about which optical qualities I ultimately prefer or is there some other logic happening such as FX-100 sealing the PW some how??? I see that FK rates the cleaning capability of the FX-100 as a "2" and the PW as a "1" but I don't get the impression that either offers any real cleaning power, especially if others are using these products over other LSP sealants and carnaubas without any detriment.

I want to ultimately layer these products and I also wonder if that would factor in to the answer to the above questions. It seems like people are alternating layers of a carnauba and FX-100 in which case this might not matter.

I beg your indulgence with this one. The concept of any sealant over a carnauba or a sealant on top of another sealant still seems foreign to me!

Thanks!

Eric

I would put the FX-100 down first and then apply the PW. You will like the PW its pretty good stuff

The normal sequence would be PW/FX-100.

Normally, a sealant would not bond well to a carnauba. But FK's product line is fully interchangeable, doesn't corrupt each other's curing, and they cause no bonding problems regardless of sequence.

FX-100 adds even more clarity, definition and slickness.

Yup, correct. I was a bit reluctant too to try it, but I didn't noticed any adverse effects afterwards. Maybe the carriers are so finely tuned together... dunno, I'm not a chemist.

Once I tried 2180 over Victoria Wax Concours and it was stable. :nixweiss
