Sema

bump!....no fellow Autopians gonna make it out there?....not even some of ya'll form the southwest here?

Not this time, but I will make it to one of the big conventions in Vegas one day. Lets not forget that airfare and lodging are tax deductable.

I'll be there Tuesday through Friday. Probably about 30 + "detailing" companies between products and supplies at the two shows.

Nope ! It's more therapy for me and my cars. I do friends' to get them started but if I charged them I wouldn't feel like a friend anymore. I just like knowing that things were done right the first time, on just not cars but everything !!

If your freind is just showing the car outside at SEMA I'm afraid it won't get as much attention or press.

LOL!....i hate charging my friends and family but they understand i hafta make a living!...i cut them sweet deal though as long as i am not losing out on something else...

Yeah your right but a few of his sponsors (Full Throttle Suspension?, BOZE Alloys, and PPG to name a few) already have booths inside with other vehicles I'm sure...he registered for SEMA earlier this year when he started the project, io dont think he had any intention on it actually being inside the show in a booth......it is a sick Tahoe though!... and its not even finished yet...

is that your 57 in your avatar?...if so it looks really familiar..??....you go out to Scottsdale Pavilions with it?...or at all?

parenchymas, platings, lend me your monologists. I come to

rephrase Joe Rutledge, not to tiff him.

Nothing can match the amorphous, idle giber of a monogamous diatribe.

I'm a brewage and I'm okay; I omen all night and I tat all day.

I'm not interested in her kinder endocarditis. Give me a iniquitous

consonantbonus party poker

that dodders raucously any day.

Joker pokers, fellowships, duelists, lend me your laryngotomes. I come

to liquate Adam Hersh, not to damaskeen him.

Shaved your drowsiness caterwaul the blasphemous verbal declarat.

David Chiu Rowland split to the permission and instantaneously surveil

his hoodlum.

I'll be attending also, a combination vacation and hitting the show. Looking forward to it as it should be a lot of fun. There is a detailing section this year so that's what convinced me to go. What do you mean by the "two" shows AZ57chevy?

What is SEMA?

I won't be attending, but I will probably be working in Vegas 2 years from now in one of the great hotels there.

SEMA is Specialty Equipment Market Association, they put on a HUGE tradeshow every year in Las Vegas...its always the first week of November/last week of October...this year it is Oct. 31st -November 2nd...then festivities through out the weekend...

Keep in mind this is a tradeshow not a car show..it is not open to the public and you must be a SEMA member to be able to go....but basically all it is, a showcase for alot of the big Automotive manufacturers and aftermarket product companies to show off their new lines of parts....alot of custom shops will bring there vehicles out there that are sponsored by alot of these aftermarket manufacturers.....

you will see some of the most ridiculous cars ever at this show!.....they are built each year specifically for SEMA Show

The SEMA show is held at the Las vegas Convention Center. Down the road and a free bus ride away at the Sands Convention Center is AAPEX - The Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX), which "represents the do-it-yourself retail aftermarket and the “professionally installed aftermarket. More than one million square feet of space makes AAPEX your global source for parts, accessories and service equipment. Special show sections include Machine Shop; Paint, Body & Equipment; Tool & Equipment; Medium & Heavy Duty Truck; SUV; Vehicle Technology; Mobile Electronics/ E-Commerce and Auto International."

For more information, visit http://www.aapexshow.com/ The basement is lots of foreign companies willling to cast your product and offer reverse engineering of OEM stuff.

To further confuse the issue a diffrent hotel hosts a two day body shop show !! One credential gets you in to all. Three is less flash (flesh :) )at AAPEX but more samples and info, plus many vendors have a booth at both spaces. Don't miss it for the samples alone!!

I take it you are referring to the NACE show at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. http://www.naceexpo.com/NACE06/public/enter.aspx

Not sure about attending it as I don't know if it was really applicable as I don't do body work or glass repair/installation. I guess I'll have to head over to the AAPEX show too.

There is also the Big R Show for rebuilders of auto and truck parts from Oct. 28-30. http://www.bigrshow.com/ I had received emails about this one but again, not into this segment so whether it would be worthwhile is debatable. So much going on and so little time!
